The Challenge

Cybersecurity Strategy 2040

The Cyberagency supports research projects that will define our digital security over the next five years. However, few people understand what topics like post-quantum cryptography actually mean — or why they matter.

As a result, many employees felt their work was invisible, like working in an ivory tower. The challenge was to strengthen a sense of relevance internally and communicate that relevance clearly to the outside world.

The Solution

It is not technical topics that move people — it is emotions. In this case, the dominant emotion was fear: the fear of getting lost in cyberspace. We turned that into a postive, motivating mood. 

This is what the Cyber Agency truly does: it empowers people with the tools to stand up and remain in control of their digital future — even 15 years from now.
We translated this message into an optimistic, dynamic film that gave the agency a clear and human narrative.

The Result

A new perspective on cybersecurity

The film opened the Cyber Agency’s five-year anniversary event. It helped establish a renewed sense of identity internally and created strong resonance externally — reaching even ministerial audiences.

The film is now shown at events across Germany and is complemented by an interactive dashboard that makes the work of the Cyber Agency tangible and accessible.
